Mojacar Playa
The sun and beach lovers' paradise. Long a holiday destination popular with the Spanish it has only really been discovered in the last few years. Its close proximity to Almeria airport has opened it up to the holiday market - however don't fret as high rise development is strictly no-go. Overlooked by the old pueblo which dates back to Moorish times the beach (or playa) extends for 17km providing wonderful white sands, warm blue sea, fantastic beach bars and top-notch seafood/paella restaurants.
